Alessandro Tappi is the Chief Investment Officer at the European Investment Fund (EIF), responsible for the investments in venture capital and private equity funds, as well as structured finance solutions for SME credit portfolios. He has a long track record in SME securitisation. From 2006 to 2008, Alessandro was Member of the Board of Directors of EFSE, the largest microfinance investment fund worldwide.Prior to joining EIF, Alessandro worked for several years in project financing at San Paolo Bank, Italy. Alessandro holds an MBA in Business Administration and a Diploma in Economics from the University of Turin. He has been a university lecturer and has led training courses on Structured Finance products and Financial Modelling.
